FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – PRESSURE WASHINGhouse

Q. Will our grass or surrounding areas be harmed during pressure washing?

A. No. Our cleaning solutions are biodegradable and will not harm grass, shrubs, flowers, trees or pets. Chemicals used for any stain or mold removal are applied only to affected areas and will not affect surroundings.

Q. What if there is no water access near the area to be cleaned?

A. No problem! We can bring the water to you!

Q. Do I need to be home for the house to be cleaned?

A. Most of our customers are not home for the cleaning. We ask that the windows be closed throughout the house and any wreathes or hanging breakable items be removed from the house. We will take care of any larger items such as patio furniture or trash cans.

Q. My contractor said my siding and deck were zero maintenance.

A. Low Maintenance yes, Zero Maintenance no. Anything left outside in the humidity and sun will get dirty.

Q. What is the dark staining on my siding?

A. Most likely it is mold. All mold needs to grow is moisture (humidity) and a food source and it will grow anywhere. The dark stains on your siding, concrete walks , or patio (especially in shaded areas) are most likely mold growth.

Q. There are small very dark raised spots on my siding in some places. What is this?

A. Most likely they are Artillery Fungus spores if the areas are near or above mulch. This fungus lives in rotting hardwood mulch and shoots its spores in the air (hence the names Artillery or Shotgun Fungus) and these spores land on your siding.

 Q. Can I have my pressure washing and window cleaning done the same day?

A. Yes! If you simply want your exterior windows free of water spots after pressure washing, this can be done for a small fee. If you want complete window cleaning, this can be done within a few hours following pressure washing, or we would be glad to return the following day!
